Cachathon and Poker Run Tokens

By
Team TravelingViking
These tokens were invented as point tokens for competitive
Geocaching
events such as a Cachathon. In addition Team TravelingViking places
variations of these in selected Caches they have found.
One complete set of tokens is divided into different variations. There
are 10 color schemes (as used for poker tokens). Each color scheme has
tokens in 4 different metal finishes. There is one token in gold, one in
silver, one in bronze and several in copper (depending on the set size 2 to
7 pieces).
Recommended usage at a Cachathon
The tokens are placed into 10 caches that are hidden for a Geocaching Event.
Each cache only holds tokens of the same color scheme. The most difficult
cache contains all the "grey" tokens, as that is the most valuable token,
the easiest cache contains all "white" tokens, as that is the lowest
valuable token. For the values used in Poker, see the
Casino Token listing at wikipedia.
Cacher Teams that participate in the Cachathon and find the caches may
take ONE token from each cache - so one token for each team that found the
cache. The golden token is for the FTF (First To Find), the silver token for
the second, the bronze token for the third and the copper tokens for all
following finders.
At the end of the Cachathon all teams bring in their tokens and return
them to the organizers and points get assigned for each token returned. The
team with the most points wins.
